Taschen is a long-time publisher of books about culture, art and artists and their books are wonderful to read and own. Back in 2004, plans were announced to reprint The Curse of Lono and gonzo fans were very eager. First editions still sell second-hand for $50US or more, and the current mass paperback of The Curse of Lono from Taschen retails on Amazon for $49.99US. The hardcover with dustjacket was released on October 1, 2005. Also, if you like, you can send a Lono e-card from Tashcen's site :-)

However, this article features the hardcover limited edition that was released earlier, in spring 2005. This limited run of 1000 copies sold out before it even hit stores, but you can often find a copy on eBay (ah, such is the world of speculation collectible buying :-D) for about $900US or more. The limited edition came with a cloth slipcase and was signed by both HST and Ralph Steadman.
