Since his work in the early seventies, Jerome Klinkowitz has become one of the most respected critics on literature of that time. He was partly responsible for bringing about Kurt Vonnegut's Foma, Wampeters and Granfalloons (Opinions). I bought this copy from Green Apple Books for $20US. It was published in 1977 and is apparently still in print. One flip through the book reveals how dated it seems, art-wise.
There are no pictures of HST in this book, only a number of strange cryptic black and white drawings, which are all throughout the book. The chapter on HST contains excerpts from Hell's Angels and Fear and Loathing. This was probably one of the first serious large scale criticisms of HST ever. Other authors in the book include Kurt Vonnegut, Donald Barthelme, and Walter Abish.
