Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail

In 1972, Hunter Thompson wrote yet another ground breaking book, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72. A forceful work of truths, fiction, lies, rumors and black and white illustrations by Ralph Steadman, it is an enduring testimony of what it's like to really follow a presidential campaign.
Coupled with Tim Crouse's The Boys on the Bus, Trail expresses the sadness and frustrations of political reporters yesterday and today.
The book is still popular 30 years after publication. Prices range from a few bucks for worn paperbacks or $2000US and up for signed editions. Keep an eye out on Alibris, ABE and eBay.
